Biograd, Croatia: Sailing Destinations and Itinerary Examples

Our base is Marina Kornati at Biograd, Croatia, shown at the upper right on the chart below. From this mid-Dalmatian Coast location there are many choices with a great variety of small coves, bays with family restaurants, fishing villages and old towns. The pink sailboats are destinations; there are many anchorages and moorings not shown at this resolution.

Sailing from Kornati Marina towards the west (to the left) we see the larger islands of Pasman, Zut and the most western islands are the Kornati National Park. The smaller islands have lots of little bays to anchor and swim or enjoy a lazy lunch.

Here are a few examples of recent itineraries to nearby islands, or along the coast to southern ports and islands.


For those interested in nature and geology, the Kornati National Park offers several days of scenic sailing with secluded stops.The sailing getting to the Kornati and also offers great island bays for swimming with little family restaurants, example on left.

Trogir is a day’s sail south of Biograd. We can either sail there or meet you at Trogir or Split. This itinerary shows a week’s sail out of Trogir over to Vis and stopping at Solta, Hvar and Brac Islands


Starting out of Biograd or sailing north from Trogir, there are many island stops along the way to Sibinek, Vodice and Primosten.


Another example of the many itineraries out of Biograd. The several island chains west of Biograd each have many interesting stops for swimming, relaxing and local cuisine.


By taking a 10 day or longer sail, we can reach the highlights to the south, Hvar, Mljet and Dubrovnik. Or we meet you at Split and sail south!
