- The southern Caribbean was impacted far less than the sailing areas of BVI, St. Martin and St. Barth. The excellent southern sailing areas of Grenada, Guadeloupe and Martinique are waiting for you! The Bahamas had high winds and swell but no severe impact.
A good way to help the Caribbean Islands is to return!

The BVI, St. Martin & St. Barth were hit hard by Hurricane Irma but are quickly rebuilding. Progress reports show outstanding rebuilding completed and underway: Caribbean Sailors Update
Here’s a candid report from one cruiser in the BVI late Oct: Oct. Cruiser’s View
The more southern islands of Guadeloupe & Martinique were hit by Hurricane Maria but not as severely and are ready for sailing! Other islands; Granada, St. Lucia, etc. had little impact.
A great way to help is to return and sail these beautiful islands!
The Bahamas had winds and surge but not severe damage. Yacht charter companies have informed CCS their bases and yachts did not suffer any damage.
Abaco and Exumas have miles of turquoise waters and long white sand beaches. Eluthera is a short hop from Nassau; we can visit its beaches, small island towns and tiki huts.
