Experience a long distance sail for a week from
Valletta, Malta to Procida, Bay of Naples – 350 NM!
Malta is steeped in history dating back to the Crusades and the Knights of St. John. Castles and cafes; a crossroad of southern Mediterranean cultures
The tiny old city of Valletta sits atop a peninsula cliff overlooking two harbors. Many consider Grand Harbor to be the most impressive in the Mediterranean.

We’ll sail approximately 50 NM each day,. Each day’s sail will depend on if we have a 7 or a 10 day duration and progress made towards Procida. The overall duration, 7-10 days, will depend on the responses to joining this sail – we recommend 10 days. There are many stop from Malta towards Procida. We’ll select as we go for a great Italian experience.
The duration is also planned so we have extra days to relax in port if the weather is not suitable. We do not sail in bad weather – Safety First! There are many other ports along the way to stop if needed. Depending on conditions, we may do an overnight sail!
Our yacht is a new 45 ft. Fontaine Pajot Elba catamaran, “Tiger Lil”. This cat is built for comfort, performance and speed. We recently sailed Tiger Lil 2000 NM from France through the Strait of Gibraltar to her base at Procida.

We end our sail in beautiful Procida Island, the small gem in the Bay of Naples, after sailing across the Gulf of Salerno through Bocca Piccola, past Capri and the Gulf of Naples.
Procida is worth a few days extra to enjoy its gorgeous waterfront settings, cafes and restaurants, and relax in its easy pace.
How the Sail will Work
You are responsible for flights. You may depart before Procida but we cannot refund your payment.
We all will help with keeping the yacht ship-shape and tasks like cooking. Your principal responsibility is to keep the water out of the boat and yourself in the boat!
Before we depart and as we go we will provision the yacht for food and beverages as a group, sharing the cost and meal preparation.
We will plan the 7 or 10 day itinerary to arrive as scheduled but recommend some timing flexibility.
You are welcome to participate in all the sailing activities and we’ll use available time to teach and enhance sailing skills, as you wish.
