The north western coast of Spain from Barcelona past the National Park, Cap de Creus that inspired Dali and the fishing village of Cadaques all the way to Portbou at the French border offers a fantastic sail with many beautiful village ports.

Along the way are coastal towns once trading ports, now visited for their beaches like, Blanes and Balis.
Small villages dottingĀ the coastline make for excellent lunch or overnight anchorages: Sa Tuna, Aigua Blava and Calella de Palafrugell are a few of the many nice little seaside spots.

The coast had a defensive system from the medieval times so some towns retain a mix of the old wall fortresses and fihing and beach towns like Tossa del Mar.
